Police helicopter launched following reports of man armed with weapon

THE Police helicopter was involved in an extensive search over the South Warrington area last night following reports of a man armed with a weapon at Latchford.

The helicopter could be heard in the skies over Latchford and South Warrington for more than an hour last night.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: ” At around 10.40pm on Sunday 20 September officers were called to Grammar School Road, Latchford following reports of a man armed with a weapon.
“Officers swiftly attended and made a thorough search of the area with the support from National Police Air Service (NPAS).
“There was no trace of the man and no other reports of a similar nature.”
