Injured drink drive suspect arrested after assaulting five emergency workers

A drink driving suspect injured after a road traffic collision during the early hours of this morning allegedly assaulted five emergency workers after being taken to Warrington Hospital.

The male driver was arrested just before 0200 following a road traffic collision on Lythgoes Lane, Warrington.
He was arrested for a variety of allegations including Failed Breath Test at Roadside (74).
He was then transported to hospital due to injuries received the collision.
The male then allegedly Failed to Provide samples for Drink Driving and Drug Driving and went on to damage hospital equipment and allegedly assaulted five Emergency Workers.
He was arrested and taken into custody.
