Leader of the Council, Cllr Russ Bowden, Chief Executive Professor Steven Broomhead and Director of Public Health, Thara Raj will, again, host this broadcast and will also be joined by the council’s Director of Growth, Steve Park, to discuss what the new restrictions will mean for Warrington’s pubs, bars, restaurants and other local businesses.
To recap, from Tuesday 22 September 2020, the new regulations in Warrington mean:
•No mixing of separate households in one house or private garden
•Hospitality for food and drink will be table service only

•Additional control measures
In addition to the restrictions, the guidance has been updated to:
•Use of public transport for essential purposes only
•No spectators at amateur /semi-professional sport
Leader of the Council, Cllr Russ Bowden, said: “After our first broadcast on Thursday 17 September, which thousands of people tuned in for, it is clear that our residents want to hear what the latest situation is in Warrington, and we’re committed to making sure our communities get the most up-to-date information from us. We will also be answering questions from residents. Understandably, there are a lot of questions being asked at the moment, and we’ll do our best to get through as many as we can.
“We know not everyone will be able to tune in on Monday, but if you do watch the broadcast, please help us by sharing the information and updates you hear with those who may not be able to access the broadcast, or who might not be free to watch it. We all have a part to play, and we’ve got to pull together for the good of our town, now more than ever with the new restrictions being brought in on Tuesday.”
To view the broadcast at 5pm on Monday 21 September, please visit the council website at www.warrington.gov.uk. You will need a device that can connect to the internet.
Cllr Bowden, Prof. Broomhead, Ms Raj and Mr Park will, again, answer more questions from residents. If you’d like to ask any questions, please email yourcouncil@warrington.gov.uk
