Electrical fault believed to have started car fire

AN electrical fault is believed to have started a car fire on Alder Lane, Warrington.

The incident took place at around 8.45pm on Tuesday evening when firefighters were notified of a fire involving a car in Alder Lane.
On arrival the crew found the vehicle well alight.
A firefighter wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
They then dampened the car down to make it safe.
Temperatures were monitored with a thermal imaging camera.
Firefighters were in attendance for around half-an-hour.
The fire is believed to have been caused by an electrical fault.
