Man arrested after allegedly “stabbing” a door

A MAN was arrested at Warrington early today after being seen stabbing at a door with a sharp implement.
Police went to the scene after receiving a report from a member of the public and arrested the alleged offender for affray and possession of a bladed article.
The man was no longer at the scene but was traced nearby in possession of the article.
In another incident, a man wanted by police for failing to answer bail was spotted on CCTV near to Warrington Bus Station and subsequently arrested.
Both alleged offenders are expected to appear in court today.
