AFTER almost 14 years of continuous service at a Warrington care home, head gardener Alan Bellian has decided to retire.
Staff and residents at Westvale House in Old Hall thanked Alan in style with a small socially distanced garden gathering with a personalised cake, savoury buffet and presents to thank him for his years of dedication.
Everyone at the home has very fond memories of Alan and he will be sadly missed.
During his time at Westvale House, Alan has maintained and planted areas in the landscaped gardens to all aspects of the care home, creating raised beds and colourful floral displays for residents to enjoy as views from the home or when strolling through the garden pathways.
General manager Charlotte Aspinall said: “Alan is one of those people who has brought so much to so many people at Westvale House throughout each season and year on year. We will miss him and we wish him all the very best.”
Westvale House is run by Barchester Healthcare, one of the UK’s largest care providers, which is committed to delivering personalised care across its homes and hospitals. It provides residential care and nursing care for 60 residents from respite care to long term stays.
