Suspected arson attack involving car at Longford

FIREFIGHTERS were called out during the early hours of Sunday morning following a suspected arson attack involving a car which was well alight at Longford, Warrington.

One fire crew from Warrington fire station was called at 2:47 am following reports of a vehicle fire in Cooper Avenue.
On arrival, the crew found one car well alight.
One firefighter wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames.

It is believed that the fire had been started deliberately.
Anyone with information is asked to call Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number IML 793013.
