WARRINGTON Town will start the Northern Premier League season away from home on Saturday September 19.

Basford United are first up for the Yellows, who will play their first home league game of the season on Saturday September 26 – with an FA Cup first qualifying round tie sandwiched in between.

Play-off champions in 2019, Paul Carden has led Warrington to three successive third placed finishes, albeit last season’s was scrubbed from the records following the cancellation, and subsequent null and voiding, of the season.

The Yellows will visit FC United, who they played three times in the curtailed 2019/20 season including a thrilling 4-4 draw back in February, on Tuesday November 3, while the trip to favourites South Shields is later in the season, on April 10.

They are away to Witton Albion on Boxing Day, with home games on New Year’s Day against Bamber Bridge and Easter Monday against Witton.

With the season being extended to finish with a home game against Morpeth Town on Saturday May 8, there is an additional Bank Holiday game – on May Day away at Bamber Bridge on Monday May 3.

Meanwhile, the Yellows’ first home pre-season friendly against City of Liverpool tonight (Friday, August 28) is a sell-out. Fans without a ticket are advised not to attend as they will not be able to gain entry.
