Firefighters called to extinguish garden blaze

A GARDEN fire led to a fire engine from Warrington being called to White Street, in the town centre, last night.
The alarm was raised just before 6pm and firefighters discovered a blaze in the back garden of a house. They used a hose reel jet to extinguish the blaze and were at the scene for about 20 minutes.
No serious damage was caused.
