The 60th edition of the Salone del Mobile Milano is scheduled to take place between 13-18 of April 2021. As we all know, due to the COVID-19 emergency, The Salone del Mobile Milano had to be cancelled.

WHERE WILL IT BE HELD?

Salone del mobile Milano, commonly referred to as Milan furniture fair, will be held in Rho fairgrounds where a super-sized exhibition of top-quality designs in furniture and various homeware will be displayed.

WHO IS INVITED?

Salone del Mobile Milano is set to attract over three hundred thousand people from designers, architects, collectors, industry enthusiasts from over 160 countries.

WHAT WILL BE FEATURED?

The 60th edition of Salone del Mobile Milano will feature the Biennial exhibition all-in-one. The event is expected to create a new framework and host new creativity. For Salone del Mobile Milano, the focus is simply not to be the leading show for both Italian and foreign markets but rather shine a light on various developments in the industry. This will include;

  • International Biennial Lighting Exhibition. This section is also known as the Euroluce and will feature more on adaptive intelligence when it comes to contemporary lighting designs. Designers will get to learn more about the latest trends in contemporary lighting design ideas.
  • International Furniture Fair. This section will be divided into three categories: classic, design and xLux. The classic section will feature the art and craftsmanship that goes into making furniture. The design area will showcase the innovation that goes on to make the latest trends while xLux will focus on the exquisite luxury reinterpreted in modern designs.
  • International Furnishing Accessories Exhibition. This category is destined to boast over 2000 exhibitors from all over the world featuring the latest when it comes to home decor, textiles and accessories. This will entail the well-researched and sustainable process used to create these features at every stage.
  • International Biennial Kitchen Exhibition. The EuroCucina as is also referred to will include the latest innovation in kitchen furnishings, cooking devices and homeware. The future in this area is focussed on having more built-in appliances that will enhance efficient and sustainable smart kitchens.
  • Workplace 3.0. This area is dedicated to the new design in technology in different workplaces. Over 53 companies are scheduled to highlight how workplaces can evolve into dynamic and ever-changing spaces.
  • The S.Project. This section is dedicated to B2Bs with the key reason for strengthening the bond between designers, manufacturers and retailers.
  • International Bathroom Exhibition. This category will display the best in bathroom furniture, saunas, shower, taps, jacuzzis and tiles. The focus on this section is mainly on sustainability, effective water consumption and reduction of indoor pollution.
  • Salone Satellite. This section is dedicated to the young and upcoming designers that are under 35 and serves as a platform to launch various designs in different industries.
