Fans allowed at Cantilever Park for Warrington Town’s pre-season games

WARRINGTON Town have confirmed that fans will be able to attend their three home pre-season friendlies against City of Liverpool, Southport and AFC Fylde.

Boosted by Saturday’s fine 3-0 win at Football League side Tranmere Rovers, the Yellows welcome City of Liverpool this Friday, August 28, for the first game at the ground since a 3-2 league win over Matlock Town back in March.

Although capacity will be limited to 300 for that game, this will increase to 600 for the games against National League North sides Southport next Tuesday, September 1, and AFC Fylde, on Saturday September 12.

Restrictions on fans at non-league matches for clubs at Warrington’s level and below were lifted by the government and the FA last week, though clubs must adhere to COVID-19 guidance.

The Yellows have confirmed a one-way system will be in place at the ground as well as sanitising stations, track and trace lists and random temperature checks.

For this week’s game, the snack bar, club shop and matchday bar will be closed – though the main bar in the social club will be open, but due to Warrington Borough Council licensing restrictions, will be table service only.

A limited number of away fans are expected to be in attendance for the latest pre-season friendly, away at Liverpool based Lower Breck tonight (Monday), where capacity is restricted to 90.

Tickets for all three home games are priced at £6 Adults, £3 Concessions and £1 Under 16s, and are available online at: www.warringtontownfc.co.uk/tickets
