Peter Corbett bids fond farewell to Lymm

ONE of Lymm’s most famous residents, Peter (Matthew) Corbett of Sooty fame, has bid a fond farewell to the village where he lived in the most photographed house on the banks of the Bridgewater Canal.

His special leaving event was captured on camera by local photographer Jamie-Cherel Morrison who said: “We have all been so privileged to know Peter and share in his tales of TV life.
“We are sad to see him leave but wish him and his family all the best.
“This incredible event was a complete surprise to Peter, it was organised by Naz from the Lymm Spice Lounge.

As Peter’s number one fan Naz donated the evening to Peter and his friends and family.”
Peter decided to sell up and move to Horsham, Sussex, to be closer to his children, following a near brush with death when he contracted coronavirus, spending 10 days in hospital.
