Drink driver who crashed on petrol station forecourt was nearly three times limit

A drink driver who was arrested on a petrol station forecourt after crashing into a barrier was found to be nearly three times the drink driving limit.

The male driver was arrested at the Tesco Garage on Winwick Road where officers who were there dealing with another incident, spoke to him after they observed him drive into a barrier.
He was arrested and later provided a sample of breath of 99 – the legal limit is 35.

Meanwhile in another incident this afternoon a female was arrested in the Great Sankey area for an alleged Breach of a Criminal Behaviour Order – namely making calls to ambulance when there was no medical need.
