YOUNG rugby players are embarking on a fundraising campaign so they can go on tour in Europe in 2022 to experience different cultures and develop as a team.

Latchford Giants u14s have grown together as a team, experiencing amazing highs and learning from their lows.
As part of their development the team is excited to have a lifetime opportunity to tour together in Europe.
This will allow them to develop their skills, learn new skills and train with others they wouldn’t normally get the opportunity to.
On Saturday 15th August they will be cycling from Woodhead Reservoir following the Trans Pennine Trail and finishing at Victoria Park, their training ground, in Warrington. A distance of approximately 45 miles.
On Sunday 16th August the team will continue with a walk around the different rugby clubs in Warrington. This will cover a distance of 25 miles and they are hoping to raise £10 per mile for their efforts.

Coach David Manfredi said: “Since joining the under 14s I’ve always wanted to create that one memory that won’t ever be forgotten so yes it’s going to take some doing but anything is possible.
“This won’t be easy for any of us however the reward will be a once in a lifetime opportunity.
