Firefighters called out to sparking electrical substation

FIREFIGHTERS were called out when sparks were seen flying from an electrical substation on Warrington Road, Risley, earlier today.

One fire engine attended from Birchwood shortly before 1pm when Firefighters were called to a substation and cables sparking in Warrington Road, Warrington.
Firefighters were standing by as a precaution and the area was cordoned off.
The incident was then handed over to the electricity company on their arrival.
