STAFF at Westvale House care home in Old Hall, Warrington have thanked emergency services personnel when an ambulance crew brought a new resident for admission.

As a way of saying thank you to the paramedics, the home gave them take away goodie bags filled with pens, note pads, sweets and re-fillable drinking water bottles.
Barchester care homes such as Westvale House give their support to all emergency services and essential visitors by providing refreshments and drinks to go to district nurses, police officers and other emergency services workers who don’t always have time to go home or back to their workplace on their break.

Charlotte Aspinall, the general manager at Westvale House has extended the invitation throughout the local area.
She said: “To say thank you for all of the great work our emergency services do for us, we here at Westvale House are inviting all members of the police, ambulance and fire services to engage with us when they visit or if they are passing, to take their duty break on us for free.”
