Say “Yes” to the dress online, fast

ONE of Cheshire’s most loved bridal boutiques, The Bridal Lounge, switched to selling via Instagram with an eCommerce website built by Carpe Diem, in just eight days.

The Bridal Lounge has developed a reputation for delivering excellent customer service and, in spite of COVID-19, wanted to continue to support their brides, making use of as many platforms as possible.
Having run online appointments and shared new stock via video links, Sara Jones realised she needed a means for customers to buy digitally too. And that’s when Carpe Diem stepped in.
Sara shared; “We are now a nation of online shoppers, so why not buy your bridal gown online? The gowns available are contemporary and stylish, just like our brides, with very affordable price points.
Carpe Diem did such a wonderful job creating our website, it was a natural fit to work with them to build an eCommerce platform. From the very beginning, we received fantastic ideas and support and, now, are in a position where we can manage everything ourselves. It’s been a traffic success and we are delighted. I cannot recommend them highly enough!”
Having previously built www.thebridallounge.co.uk/, Carpe Diem were able to deliver Sara an eCommerce solution at speed. Close collaboration on the framework and one to one training meant the new online shop was ready to merchandise and run in just eight days.
Jack Renshaw shares; “We worked hard to minimise costs, when the tills weren’t ringing. So, the hours we burnt were as efficient as possible.”
Once the Shopify theme styling was consistent with the existing brand, Jack put together training videos so all of the content and product information could be managed and amended by Sara and her team in-house.
“We were always on hand to help with any questions and jumped in if there were any problems. We even integrated a shoppable Instagram feed and set up delivery options, based on weight and locations.”

Saul Peake, Managing Creative Director of Carpe Diem, adds; “If we want the small businesses that make such a difference to our country to survive, we have to support them whenever we can. Carpe Diem have been doing just that for the last five months. And, if your wedding day got delayed this year, then please buy local, buy from shop.thebridallounge.co.uk/”
