Two men arrested after serious assault on Loushers Lane

TWO men have been arrested after a man was taken to hospital with serious injuries following an incident on Loushers Lane, Warrington on Tuesday afternoon.

The road was closed in both directions near the junction of Gainsborough Road as police rushed to the scene where the incident was captured on CCTV.
Reports locally suggested the victim had been stabbed during a fight.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: “At around 4.15pm on Tuesday 21 July officers were called to reports of a disturbance on Loushers Lane, Warrington.
“On arrival officers found one man with serious injuries.
“The 22-year-old was taken to hospital for treatment. His condition is described as stable.

“A 19-year-old man and a 37-year-old man, both from Warrington, have been arrested on suspicion of a section 18 assault. They have been taken to custody for questioning.”
