VANDALS are being blamed for a fire in parkland off Somerset Way, Woolston, Warrington last night.
Firefighters from Birchwood were called to the scene at around 7.20pm and discovered the fire on open land. They came to the conclusion it had been started deliberately.
Water was used to extinguish the blaze and the crew was in attendance for only about 15 minutes.
