A woman is appealing for the return of a sentimental ornamental dog which was stolen when youngsters ransacked allotments to make a den at Victoria Park, Warrington.

Dani Woods has been left heart-broken by the theft which took place last week from her allotment which was also badly damaged along with many others.

Dani said: “Some people decided to take all our stuff from our allotment and build themselves a base at Victoria park – they have ruined Lilly’s swing , broken our polly tunnel into bits used all our bark to make the floor taken wood and taken my dog ornament and I want it back! Someone must have seen them doing this and setting up !

She saw four yourths return the following day to the allotments at Black bear in Victoria park while she was clearing up.

“The four youths smashed up my polly tunnel, as they tried to take it bover the fence, cut my 10 year old daughter’s swing up, took over 10 bags of bark, which they used for the floor of the den. They also took wood and fence panels and spent last Friday making the den- they took paint, tables, bbqs the list goes on from mine and others plots.
“The dog was given to me as a gift from a friend 15 years ago and held a personal story behind him being gifted to me- his name is Colin – the collar he wears was gifted by a different Friend. They had no need to take the dog.”
Dani said she would be more than willing to pay a reward for the safe return of the dog.
