Man armed with brick in early hours of the morning

A MAN was arrested in Warrington in the early hours of the morning after being spotted carrying a house brick and apparently intent on causing harm.
The alleged offender was picked up by a borough council CCTV operator shortly after 2.30am on Sunday.
He was in Winwick Road, armed with the brick, and police were alerted.
Officers were swiftly on the scene and the man was arrested and charged with using threatening behaviour.
A police spokesperson said: “This was a good spot by the CCTV operator.”
