Firefighters tackle grass fire on Farrell Street

FIREFIGHTERS from Warrington were called out last night to tackle a blaze involving an area of grass well alight on Farrell Street.

One fire engine attended from Warrington following reports of a fire in the open off Farrell Street at around 9.15pm.
On arrival the crew found a section of grass well alight.
A water backpack was used to extinguish the flames.
