UBC welcomes Saffron Financial to Rutherford House

BIRCHWOOD based UBC have been busy welcoming companies back to their place of work and are also delighted to introduce a number of new clients to UBC offices.

Paul Wright, CEO of Saffron Financial, recently moved into a new office at UBC’s Rutherford House in Birchwood, Warrington.
“I personally visited a couple of sites in the area pre-lockdown. Rutherford House stood out from the rest – I loved the location overlooking the lake.
“As a northern base Rutherford House offers a great location with fantastic services nestled in a lovely area, and it has amazing road and rail connections.”

Good transport connections are a priority for Paul and his team, as Saffron Financial is the broker division of parent company Saffron Asset Finance, based in Central London. Yet while travel has been limited in recent months, that hasn’t stopped the team from continuing business as normal.
“We have worked through lockdown and enjoyed the peace and quiet,” said Paul.
While UBC centres remained open to clients during this period, Centre Managers worked remotely in line with government guidelines, which meant the buildings were unusually quiet. Now, UBC’s staff are back in the office full-time with physical distancing safety measures in place, and normal business activities are beginning to resume.
This includes in-person tours for people considering new office space, which have stepped up noticeably in recent weeks, and help relocating new clients to their offices.
“Moving in was a dream. The new computer hardware was delivered directly to us and Sam [Centre Manager] had all the connections and desks ready for us. It was literally plug and play,” said Paul.
“Against all the odds we are finding plenty of clients who need services such as refinancing, factoring and CBILS loans. Being on hand and looking for ways to support our clients on their own journey through this extraordinary and difficult time has been a very rewarding process.”

Now that the Saffron Financial team are settled in their Birchwood offices, what’s next?
“As we are part of Saffron Asset which is a challenger bank, we are here to disrupt and shake up the market for ABL. For 2021 we plan to develop our in-house software and continue to grow in the ABL market place by making the client a priority and working together to support them and their growth.”
UBC is delighted to accommodate Saffron Financial at Rutherford House and we look forward to supporting the team on the next stage of their growth journey.
