No new deaths but two new COVID-19 cases confirmed

WHILE no new COVID-19 reated deaths have been reported at Warrington Hospital two new cases have been confirmed in the last 24 hours.

According to the latest Public Health England figures 1,316 have tested positive in the Warrington area which equates to 628.0 per 100,000 population – an increase of two on yesterday’s figures.

A total of 136 patients have sadly died at the hospital along with 126 people who have died in local care homes, two patients who have died in a hospice and three people have died at home, taking the town’s death toll to at least 267.
The last confirmed death at the Hospital was on Thursday.

Warrington & Halton Hospitals Covid-19 update for week ending Thursday 9th July (previous week in brackets)
To date they had tested 10,143 (9,230) inpatients/community of which 1,182 (1,175) have tested positive.
•The hospital was caring for 4 (6) in-patients who have tested positive for Covid-19
•There were 0 (1) Covid-19 positive patients in ICU
•They had discharged 372 (367) patients and sadly 135 (132) have died

Across the UK the daily number of COVID-19 associated UK deaths was 148, taking the total number of deaths to 44,798.
The daily number of lab-confirmed UK cases was 820 taking the total number to 288,953.
