FIREFIGHTERS from Birchwood and Wigan were called to Culcheth, Warrington, early this morning following reports of a fire in a garden.
The blaze was at a house in Common Lane and on arrival, shortly before 6am, the crews discovered it involved a fire pit.
A decision was made to extinguish the fire and firefighters used water to put it out.
They were at the scene for little more than 15 minutes.
There were no reports of damage to property.
