Drugs raid sparks “Street of the Month” campaign in Grasmere Avenue

POLICE executed a drugs search warrant at a property in Grasmere Avenue in the Poplars and Hulme area of Warrington to launch a “Street of the Month” campaign.

Neighbourhood Officers assisted by the Specialist Operations Response Team executed a Warrant under the misuse of drugs act on a property in Grasmere Avenue yesterday,(Friday). A male has now been dealt with by officers following interview.
This Warrant sparks a month of action on Grasmere Avenue which has been nominated as Warrington’s ‘Street of the Month.’
Until the end of July, local police officers will be showcasing some of the work that goes on behind the scenes in the area, alongside partner agencies.

Local residents may see an influx of Officers around the area and more open meetings to discuss plans for the future, giving residents a chance to have a say.
Next week the local PCSO will be available each day (Tuesday – Friday) from 11:00 – 12:00 parked on Grasmere Avenue to have open meetings.
Residents are invited to discuss local issues affecting them.
Police will also be looking to hold a few community engagement events, restrictions and partner availability permitting.
