Motorist was more than three times limit at 6am

A motorist arrested at 6am this morning was found to be more than three times over the limit when arrested for being drunk in charge of a vehicle.

Response officers on the Nights Turn rounded off their stint at 0600 by arresting the male on Wellfield Street for alleged Being Drunk in Charge of a motor vehicle – later providing a breath sample at Custody in excess of 110- the legal limit is 35.
Meanwhile in another incident a male was arrested on Scotland Road overnight after he allegedly assaulted a member of staff at a town centre pub. He was also alleged to be found in Possession of Class A Controlled Drugs.
