Police seek witnesses after serious assault outside Stockton Heath pub

POLICE are seeking witnesses following a serious assault outside a Stockton Heath pub on Saturday evening.

The incident happened at around 10.50pm on Saturday 4 July officers were called to reports of an incident outside the Red Lion public house on London Road, Stockton Heath, Warrington.
Officers attended the scene and found that there had been an altercation between two men; one of the pair, a 25-year-old local man, had sustained an injury to his face.
A 23-year-old local man was arrested at the scene in connection with the incident but has since been released without charge.
Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call Cheshire Police on 101 quoting IML 746638.

It was one of only 10 incidents reported across Cheshire on the evening lockdown restrictions were relaxed.
