As Sports Day couldn’t happen due to Lockdown, nothing was going to stop pupils from Culcheth Primary School.

They arranged a virtual Sports Day for all children and staff and even some parents joined in too. The classes all competed against each other and the winners were Year 2.
The children and staff took part in sprint, egg and spoon, sack race, magpies, basket throw, javelin, long distance, hurdles, football dribble, obstacle course and a fancy dress race!
Headteacher Mrs Amanda Dodd , and all the staff said they were extremely proud of all the children and the efforts they made both at home and in the garden, dressing accordingly and even using props! They received so many videos and pictures.
Mrs Dodd said: “The staff had great fun too taking part and special mention should go to Miss Lea who did an excellent job organising this, it was Miss Lea’s inspirational idea and she always promotes health, well being and fitness.”
