ONE more patient has sadly died and one new Covid-19 case has been reported at Warrington Hospital in the last 24 hours.

A total of 131 patients have sadly died at the hospital along with at least 96 people in local care homes, taking the town’s death toll to at least 227.
Eight patents have sadly died in June, this compares to 34 in May, 92 in April and 7 in March. The latest reported death was on Saturday (June 20).
The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases of Warrington residents reported at the hospital is now 803 – a rate of 383.2 per 100,000 population.
Across the UK the daily number of COVID-19 associated UK deaths was 15, the lowest daily increase since mid-March, taking the total number of deaths to 42,647.
The daily number of lab-confirmed UK cases was 958 taking the total number to 305,289.
A total of 8,029,757 coronavirus tests have now been carried out with 305,289 positive cases, according to the Department of Health (DHSC).
The figure for the number of people tested has “temporarily paused to ensure consistent reporting” across all methods of testing.

Meanwhile due to differences in how individual health bodies and the Office for National Statistics report figures, the DHSC’s figures do not include all deaths involving Covid-19 across the UK, which are believed to have now passed 53,500.
