HIGH Speed Two (HS2) ground invesgiations are set to start in Lymm from late June for up to nine weeks.

As part of preparations for HS2, work is starting on investigating ground conditions alongthe Phase 2b route.
The detailed information from ground investigations will help Hs2 to design and build the railway in the safest and most efficient way.
The works are being managed by contractor Balfour Beatty.
Investigation work is due to begin at sites along the proposed route in Lymm Parish at: Land to the north and south of Spring Lane.
Balfour Beatty has reached agreement with the landowners and tenants to carry out the work.
Further information on the type of work they will be doing can be found at: CLICK HERE

During the COVID-19 outbreak Hs2 are continually reviewing the works on their construction sites in line with Government and Public Health England (PHE) advice on dealing with COVID19.
The Government’s strategy makes it clear that construction activity can continue as long as it complies with this guidance. Only sites that can operate within the guidelines are operational. All sites will remain under constant review.
