Two more deaths at Warrington Hospital but no new COVID-19 cases confirmed

TWO more patients have sadly died at Warrington Hospital after testing positive for COVID-19 but no new cases have been confirmed in the latest daily figures.

A total of 123 COVID-19 patients have now sadly died at the hospital, while at least 94 people have also sadly died in local care homes, taking the town’s death toll to at least 217.
The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases of Warrington residents reported at the hospital remains at 772 – a rate of 368.4per 100,000 population.
As of last Thursday (May 28), Warrington Hospital had tested 5,110 (last week 4,422) inpatients/community of which 1,050 tested positive (1,008 last week). (Not all those tested are from Warrington).
They have discharged 292 patients (273).
The hospital was caring for 48 Covid-19 positive inpatients (last week 57) 5 of whom are in ICU (last week 6).

Across the UK the Daily number of COVID-19 associated UK deaths was 324 taking the total number of deaths to 39,369.
The daily number of lab-confirmed UK cases was 1,613 taking the total number to 277,985.
Meanwhile a mobile testing facility finished today in Warrington, but it is understood these figures are not added to the local totals.
