No new COVID-19 related deaths at Warrington Hospital as two new cases confirmed

NO new COVID-19 related deaths have been recorded at Warrington Hospital while two new cases have been confirmed in the latest daily figures.

A total of 121 COVID-19 patients have now sadly died at the hospital, while at least 94 people have also sadly died in local care homes, taking the town’s death toll to at least 215.

The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases of Warrington residents reported at the hospital now stands at 772 – a rate of 368.4per 100,000 population.

As of last Thursday (May 28), Warrington Hospital had tested 5,110 (last week 4,422) inpatients/community of which 1,050 tested positive (1,008 last week). (Not all those tested are from Warrington).
They have discharged 292 patients (273).
The hospital was caring for 48 Covid-19 positive inpatients (last week 57) 5 of whom are in ICU (last week 6).

Across the UK the Daily number of COVID-19 associated UK deaths was 111 taking the total number of deaths to 39,045.
The daily number of lab-confirmed UK cases was 1,570 taking the total number to 276,332.

Meanwhile a mobile COVID-19 testing facility remains in Warrington until tomorrow Tuesday (June 2) when anyone over the age of five who is displaying symptoms of coronavirus can apply online to get tested.
The mobile testing unit will operate by appointment only. Anyone who attempts to turn up at the testing facility without an appointment will be turned away. This is a drive through, self-testing centre and people will need to drive in their own vehicle, or in a vehicle driven by a someone in their household.
Those showing symptoms of coronavirus – a new, continuous cough, a high temperature or a loss of normal taste or small – can ask for a test through the NHS website. Essential workers, and members of their household, can apply for priority testing through the NHS website CLICK HERE .
