PARENTS of local youngsters have been asked to check on the whereabouts of their children after Warrington Police were called out to Pickmere Lake this afternoon to deal with groups of young people gathering in the area.
Some of the young people were from neighbouring towns including Warrington.
Police are asking parents to check that their children are at home and not to drop them off at the lake this evening. Alcohol has been seized.
