Green Park Care Home spoilt by local community

STAFF from Green Park Care Home in Great Sankey, Warrington, have been spoilt by their local community with an abundance of gifts.

During these difficult times, staff have been working hard to create a cosy breakout area to relax in when taking a well-earned break. The home’s local councillor Amanda King very kindly arranged for two policemen to collect donations for the staff to create the ultimate relaxation space.
The local community has gone above and beyond to ensure the staff will be comfortable and settled, showing that their generosity has no bounds. Donations ranged from sleeping bags to thousands of pounds worth of soft furnishings.

The biggest surprise came when staff opened one of the boxes and found a PlayStation4 and a Wii console, both of which have been donated by an extraordinarily kind member of the local community and everyone at the home was extremely grateful.
Mel Thompson, Home Manager at Green Park Care Home, told the police officers that delivered the gifts, “I am absolutely speechless at everyone’s generosity – we are all so grateful to you all.”
Green Park Care Home is a specialist residential, nursing and respite facility and part of Orchard Care Homes’ network of residences situated in the North of England.
