Six more care home deaths takes town’s COVID-19 death toll to 210

WHILE no new deaths have been reported at Warrington Hospital for a second consecutive day, six more care home residents have sadly died after testing positive for COVID-19.

The latest figures published by the Office for National Statistics and Care Quality Commission, show that as from Last Friday a total of 94 people have died in care homes in Warrington, including six in the past week.
This was almost half the previous weeks figure of 13.
The number of patients who have sadly died at Warrington Hospital after testing positive for COVID-19 remains at 116, while at least 94 people have died in local care homes, taking the town’s death toll to at least 210.

Meanwhile there have been four new cases of COVID-19 confirmed at Warrington Hospital in the latest daily figures.
The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases reported in the town now stands at 762 – a rate of 363.6 per 100,000 population.
At noon last Thursday, Warrington Hospital had tested 4,422 inpatients/community of which 1,008 tested positive. (Not all patients are from Warrington).
They had 57 Covid-19 positive inpatients (61 the previous week), six of whom were in ICU.
They had discharged 273 patients (252 the previous week).
Across the UK the Daily number of COVID-19 associated UK deaths was 134 taking the total number of deaths to 37,048.
The daily number of lab-confirmed UK cases was 2,004 taking the total number to 265,227.
