Walton Hall and Gardens to remain closed

WALTON Hall & Gardens is to remain closed until further notice due to the sensitivities regarding a temporary mortuary on the site.

Following the government’s announcement and updated guidance around public spaces, parks and gardens, Warrington Borough Council has been reviewing how they can practicably and safely reopen Walton Hall and Gardens and the golf course.
They have however, have to be mindful of sensitivities around the Summer Garden temporary mortuary on site and the implications this has on the wider estate.
This means that, for the foreseeable future, the Walton Hall estate will remain closed.
Meanwhile Warrington’s other parks remain open for people to enjoy.
A council spokespersn said: “Please continue to use our open spaces considerately to ensure everyone’s continued safety. Make sure you maintain a minimum two metre distance away from anyone you don’t live with and make sure to wash your hands thoroughly when you return home.”
