EVERYONE is having a hard time going through this self-isolation period due to the danger of Covid-19 lurking around.

We all are in crisis, and there’s no doubt in this fact. However, one thing that we shouldn’t forget is that this time will soon be over, and things will get back to normal. In other words, if you are in stress right now, don’t worry because good days are near and this disease will soon disappear.

Speaking of COVID-19 today, we are here to discuss one major problem that all the people working from home are facing nowadays. That problem that we are referring to is none other than that of back pain. Yes, you read that, right! The chances are that if you are here today, you’ve been a victim of this issue, and now you want to get rid of the pain as soon as possible as you don’t have any other option but to work from home at the moment.

Sitting at a desk all day can cause some serious backbone issues if you don’t opt for precautionary measures. However, with these tips, you probably won’t have anything to worry about;

1- Practice simple stretching

To relieve the stress of your bones and muscles, you are advised to do some simple stretching every now and then, and may also do some sciatic nerve stretches, especially for the employees who have to sit in their chairs for 4 to 5 consecutive hours. You can refer to different youtube videos to learn the basic stretching techniques as they really do help!

2- Avoid bad posture

The very first thing to pay attention to is the posture that you are opting for when sitting on the chair. Truth be told, there’s no “perfect” posture, but you should still try and avoid putting a lot of stress on your vulnerable areas. For example, if you are lying down with your head propped upwards, you’ll be putting yourself at a huge risk, and your back will hurt. To eliminate this issue, you can always opt for a posture corrector!

3- Take breaks

Continuously sitting on the desk will do no good for you. You are supposed to take small breaks even in your working hours. In those breaks, you should get up and move a little or walk a bit. If not that, then at least take a break and give some rest to your backbone by lying down on a medical bed. Just don’t ever sit for long time periods in the same chair!

4- Switch chairs

Another great thing to do is to switch your chairs when working after every 2 hours. You probably have a lot of chairs in your house, so bring them to use and change your location every now and then. If not, then shift chairs so that your back can relax a bit. If you don’t do this, and if you keep sitting in one chair for a longer time, your back will become all stiff, and that’s when it will start hurting.

5- The big three exercises

Make it a routine to do the big three exercises. These exercises are simple, and they include, side planks, the curl up, and the bird dog. If you don’t know them, just look up to the internet, and you’ll find several tutorials.

Conclusion

With these simple 5 tips, you can easily prevent back pain while working from home during this pandemic. We assure you that with them, you’ll definitely see a change in yourself, and you won’t ever go through any back pain while working on your projects.
