A SPECIAL VE Day anniversary service is to be broadcast on line tomorrow (Friday) by the Rev Beverley Jameson, Rector of Lymm.
It can be viewed from 10am on YouTube and will last just under 15 minutes. Just search YouTube for Rev Bev Jameson if you would like to join her.
Originally, the Rev Bev had planned a special civic service with the Lymm branch of the Royal British Legion and Lymm Parish Council.
But this cannot now take place because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Rev Bev said: “It’s such a shame we cannot have the big service we planned at St Mary’s Lymm but the YouTube Service is a way to remember and a virtual joining together to celebrate with gratitude and fun.”

*The Sanctuary Café at Lymm is doing 800 free cream teas for elderly or vulnerable people tomorrow to help them celebrate VE Day.
They will be made and delivered observing all current hygiene and distancing rules. Ministers at Lymm Baptist Church will be delivering about 40 of them.
People may donate towards cost if they wish but there is no charge and in several cases the cost is being picked up by a local church.
The Rev Chris Oswami said: “It’s a real tribute to the folks who run the Sanctuary Café – their initiative– and a really nice way to serve people.”

Pictured are Lymm Royal British Legion chairman Tony Bone, councillors Anna Fradgley and Kath Buckley, the Rev Jameson and Cllr Geoff Hawley, chairman of Lymm Parish Council.
