Firefighters tackle deliberate fire under bridge

FIREFIGHTERS were called out last night to deal with a deliberate fire started under a bridge near Sankey Valley Park, Warrington.

The fire was reported at 21:15 on Wednesday night on Rutter Avenue, Warrington.
One fire engine attended from Warrington following reports of a fire in the open.
On arrival the crew found a fire under a bridge in Sankey Valley Park.
Firefighters used a water back pack and buckets to extinguish the fire.
It is believed that the fire had been started deliberately. Anyone with information is asked to call Cheshire Police on 101 quoting IML 698961.
