TWO fire crews were called out during the early hours of today to tackle a building fire at Thelwall, Warrington.

Crews from Warrington and Stockton Heath were called out shortly after 3.30am to a building on Thelwall Lane following reports of a fire.
Crews used safety equipment to check the building and discovered a fire in the ventilation system. The automatic dowsing system had activated and put out the fire, but the crews used thermal imaging cameras to check for potential hotspots.
They stayed at the scene for just under two hours to ensure the fire was out and the building was safe to hand back to the owner.
