VOLUNTEERS at the Helping Hands Orford, Poplars and Hulme community group were delighted to receive a visit from Warrington Wolves Player’s Danny Walker and Dec Patton.

Both players asked lots of questions about the work of the group, set up to help those in need during the coronavirus pandemic.
Volunteer Dave Wilcock talked about the support of the local community. The players were amazed by the amount of food and essentials donated and delivered to around 700 families.
The group has received much in the way of donations from Morrisons in Stockton Heath, and the Co-op on Cotswold Road. The remainder has been donated by the wonderful community of Orford, and Poplars and Hulme. As a team of volunteers from the public sector and business community they say they couldn’t have done it without their support.
Another volunteer Carole Wilcock added: “We all play our part to support each other as a team.”
