MP organises “thank you to the NHS” competition

WARRINGTON North MP Charlotte Nichols has organised a competition for local children to design a card to say ‘thank you’ to the NHS.

Charlotte said: “During the Coronavirus crisis, we come together as a community each week to clap our key workers, including NHS workers. While I continue to push for better pay and conditions for NHS staff, and the secure supply of PPE and other vital equipment like ventilators, I have received lots of feedback from local NHS staff about how much these gestures of support mean to them”
“With everything going on, it can be difficult to keep up morale so I hope this small gesture can help and give young children stuck at home a fun activity to take part in”
There are 3 prizes for the best entries – a £50 Waterstones voucher for the winner, and two £25 Waterstones vouchers for the runners up.
At the end of the competition, all cards will be passed on to Warrington Hospital, and all entrants who include their name and address details (or email address) will receive a certificate thanking them for taking part.
The competition is open to all children resident in or attending a primary school in Warrington North constituency, and there are no rules on format/size/design/materials to give children the chance to show off their creative side!
Entries can be posted to Charlotte Nichols MP, House of Commons, London, SW1A 0AA or sent via email to [email protected] by the closing date of 12th May 2020. Winners will be announced shortly after.
