PLAYERS and officials oat Eagle Sports FC, based in Great Sankey, Warrington have come together to help raise funds for Warrington & Halton Hospitals charity.

The aim is for every player and official of the Football club to walk/run 5km and donate a minimum of £5 once this has been completed. Then on one of their daily exercise during the next week, they will complete the same exercise looking to beat their initial time set in their first walk/run. Should the Player or Officials’ time be below their original time, then they will donate another a minimum of £5 to the fund. Should their time be quicker than the one previously set, they will donate a minimum of £1 to the fund.
This will continue each week until the lockdown is lifted and we can return to full training.
All funds raised will be evenly split between two causes: Warrington and Halton Hospitals Charity and Eagle Sports.
Warrington and Halton Hospitals’ Charity, ‘WHH Charity’, raises funds to provide additional comforts, care or experiences for the direct benefit of patients and their families beyond that which the NHS provides.
With the support of many, many donors and fundraisers they raise money to improve patient environments, fund additional equipment or facilities or provide important complimentary services to enhance our patients’ overall experience.
They can only continue their work by gaining the support of local communities, with the mission to create as many different ways as possible to forge new partnerships and involve our supporters in ways that best suit them.

Playing in the Cheshire Football League, Eagle Sports FC rely heavily on funds generated on Match Days as well as regular income from players, sponsors and supporters during the football season. With the current lockdown in place, their season has prematurely ended early and they have missed several opportunities to secure vital funds in preparation to carry out essential maintenance over the summer months, ahead of next season. The squad is made up of local players from the Warrington area and has been established since 1928.
Anyone who wants to support this fund and the two causes mentioned, you do not have to complete the challenge, however, please donate and support during these tough times for all.
Every donation will help, no matter how big or small.
