Firefighters tackle suspected arson attack on chicken coop

TWO fire crews spent around three hours tackling a suspected arson attack on a chicken coop at Hatton, Warrington.
Firefighters from Lymm and Stockton Heath were called to Hatton Lane in Warrington to fight a fire involving a chicken coop and two gas cylinders.
The chicken coop was well alight on arrival.
Firefighters extinguished the fire using water and then damped the area and the cylinders down to make them safe.
The crews monitored temperatures with a thermal imaging camera.
Once they had cooled down enough, the cylinders were moved to a safer place.
Firefighters left the scene once they were satisfied that it was safe.
They were in attendance for around three hours. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately.
