Number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Warrington rises to 162

THE number of confirmed cases of Coronavirus in Warrington has now reached 162, with one more confirmed death at the town’s hospital, taking the total to 17.

There has been an increase of 24 new confirmed cases in the past 24 hours. Nationally there have been 3,634 new cases and 786 deaths of people testing positive for COVID-19.
The total number of confirmed cases nationally now stands at 55,242 cases and 6,159 deaths.
The figures have been released by the Department of Health and include all deaths reported up until Monday (April 6).
Meanwhile Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab is reported as saying he is “confident” Prime Minister Boris Johnson will pull through after being taken into intensive care on Monday.
