Girl arrested for attacking court staff and threatening arson

POLICE were called to Warrington Magistrates court earlier today after a juvenile girl allegedly attacked staff and threatened to commit arson.

The girl had allegedly assauted three members of staff working at the magistrates court and threatened to set fire to the building.

She was arrested by officers and taken into custody.

In another incident police were called to an address in the Poplars/Hulme area of the town and arrested a man who had allegedly made threats to kill a neighbour. He was taken into custody.

Meanwhile a man arrested for threatening behaviour and resisting arrested who was in breach of a criminial behaviour order was jailed for 16 weeks.
