FIREFIGHTERS were called out to a house at Fearnhead, Warrington, after a suspected arson attack on conifer trees in a garden.

One crew from Birchwood attended the fire in St Andrews Close, Fearnhead, shortly before midnight.

On arrival the crew found conifer trees alight in the garden of the domestic property. They extinguished the fire with a hose reel jet.

They then damped down bushes and made sure that the fire had not spread to the property.

They were in attendance for nearly an hour.

It is suspected that the fire was started deliberately.

Anyone with information about the fire should call Cheshire Constabulary on 101 or give the details via https://www.cheshire.police.uk/tua/tell-us-about.
