Man charged following police pursuit at Burtonwood

A 30-year-old man from MSt Helens has been charged following a police pursuit at Burtonwood, Warrington, during the early hours of Friday, March, 27.

Liam Baldwin, of Pollitt Crescent, Clock Face, St Helens, was arrested by police shortly after 2am last Friday.

He was arrested in Mitchell Lane, Burtonwood, Warrington, and has subsequently been charged with failing to provide a breath test.

The charge relates to the pursuit of a van that began on the slip road of Junction 7 of the M62 eastbound and ended in Burtonwood.

Baldwin has been released on unconditional bail and is due to appear at Warrington Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 14 April.
