WARRINGTON Police attended reports of a group of youths coughing at NHS staff claiming to have Coronavirus.
The youths and their parental guardians will now be prosecuted.
A police spokeperson said: “This is an absolutely abhorrent incident involving abuse of our NHS heroes.
“We again urge all parents and persons with parental responsibility to make sure that their children STAY INSIDE. You too can and will be prosecuted if you fail to keep your children inside.”
Meanwhile the Warrington Neighbourhood teams had another busy start to the shift conducting roadside checks on vehicles entering Warrington.
Advisory notices have been placed on vehicles parking on Orford Park – police say if you are travelling there to exercise this is NOT essential and an unnecessary journey and people should stick to their local areas.
The police spokeperson added: “We would like to thank everyone for their cooperation and the countless NHS workers on the road as apparently it was their shift change!
“We will continue to patrol the areas.”
Earlier in the day ppeople sunbathing on; Orford Park, Bank Quay Park and Beaumont High School had to be moved on from the area by police.
Shame the sentence is probably quite low, but this is quite unbelievable. What is more worrying is the values that has been imparted to these ‘youths’ in the first place that makes ok on any level. Sadly, those values will still be there long after corona virus has gone. https://t.co/JFflqN1l84
